  • "How can UNCG help?" is a question that the university will be asking as it begins  formulation of a new strategic plan, Chancellor Linda P. Brady said in her convocation address. The Greensboro News & Record evaluated her address in an editorial. (8-23-08)
  • Chancellor Linda P. Brady helped students move into their residence halls and was interviewed by WFMY. (8-19-08)
  • Rollin Donelson, assistant vice chancellor for public safety and police, was interviewed by WGHP about steps the university has taken to protect the campus community. (8-20-08)
  • Dr. Dave Holian, associate professor of political science, was quoted in an Aug. 19 story in the Greensboro News & Record about voter registration efforts in Guilford County.
  • Gateway University Research Park, a project of UNCG and NC A&T, was the subject of an article in Discover the Triad, a special section created by the News & Record. “It's our future,” said Dan Lynch, president of the Greensboro Economic Development Alliance, who is quoted in the article.   • WUAG, the campus radio station, was the subject of an article in Discover the Triad. The article included several quotes from Jack Boney, the station's general manager. (8-14-08)
  • Dr. Bill Tullar, professor of business administration, was featured in the Aug. 8 edition of the Triad Business Journal. Tullar has developed a recruitment assessment that helps boost retention rates for home health care workers.
  • Dr. Lew G. Brown, associate professor of marketing, commented on the opening of "cafeteria-style" public relations franchises in the Aug. 8 edition of the Triad Business Journal.
  • Dr. Wei Jia, the newly hired co-director of the university's research center on bioactive food components, was the subject of articles in the Salisbury Post (8-7-08), Business Journal papers in the Triad, Triangle and Charlotte (8-11-08), and the Independent Tribune of Kannapolis (8-13-08).
  • Social work professor Dr. Bob Wineburg was quoted in an article in the Aug. 6 Asbury Park (N.J.) Press about faith-based charities.
  • Dr. Linda P. Brady started her job as UNCG's 10th chancellor.  Business North Carolina Magazine published a Q&A with our new CEO under the headline "UNCG will be a player in the Triad." (8-1-08)
