GREENSBORO, NC – Join an interdisciplinary panel of scholars Jan. 20 at UNCG as they watch President-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration and discuss American Politics and the 21st-Century University.
The discussion, free and open to the public, runs from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Ballroom A, Elliott University Center. Panelists, all UNCG professors, will include: Dave Holian (Political Science), Charles Bolton (History), Dan Beerman (Social Work), Jackie Claes (Joint Master of Social Work Program), Steve Cureton (Sociology), and Tara Green (African American Studies).
The event is sponsored by the Inclusive Community Initiative Task Force. Co-sponsors are the Office of the Chancellor; the Office of the Provost; Faculty Senate; Staff Senate; the Office of Multicultural Affairs; the departments of History, Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, and Educational Leadership & Cultural Foundations; and the African American Studies and Women’s & Gender Studies programs.
