Historian Bill Link Speaks About Helms Book Feb. 27

GREENSBORO, NC – Historian Bill Link is returning to UNCG, where he taught for 23 years, to speak about his new book, “Righteous Warrior: Jesse Helms and the Rise of Modern Conservatism,” at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27.

The event in Kirkland Room of Elliott University Center is free and open to the public. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing following his remarks. St. Martin’s Press published the book this month.

Link, the Milbauer Professor of History at the University of Florida, was a professor at UNCG from 1981-2004. His work at UNCG included stints as associate dean, 1995-98, and as Department of History head, 1998-04.

The event is sponsored by the Friends of the UNCG Libraries, the Department of History and the Department of Political Science.
