GREENSBORO, NC – Need information on effective foster parenting? Help developing a healthy body image? Tips to strengthen your romantic relationship?
The Nicholas Vacc Counseling and Consulting Clinic at UNCG will offer a diverse series of free family workshops Jan. 29-April 29.
All presenters are graduate-level counseling students who are supervised by licensed professionals. Workshops are open to the public and free of charge. All sessions will be held at the Vacc Clinic on campus.
Scheduled workshops are:
• Jan. 29, 5-7 p.m., Blended Families Workshop
• Feb. 12, 5-7 p.m., General Parenting Skills Workshop
• Feb. 26, 5-7 p.m., Couples Enrichment Workshop
• March 4, 4-5 p.m., Elementary Emotional Management
• March 25, 5-7 p.m., Foster Parent Training (Self-Care Focus)
• April 8, 5-7 p.m., Adolescent Female Body Image and Sexuality Workshop (High School Students)
• April 29, 5-7 p.m., Non-Violent Teen Relationships Workshop
Adult, child and family counseling are also available free through a grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro.
