GREENSBORO, NC– UNCG will hold its Second Annual Southeastern Literary Magazine and Small Press Festival Wednesday through Saturday, April 23-26.
The university will cap off the festival by hosting the N.C. Writers’ Network Spring Conference on Saturday, April 26.
Natasha Trethewey and A. Van Jordan will give the keynote reading. Other participating writers will include Kelly Cherry, Leigh Anne Couch, Michael Chitwood, Michael McFee, Quinn Dalton, John Picard, Warren Rochelle and Andrea Selch.
Attendees can hone their writing and editing skills, enjoying workshops in poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction. They can also speak with representatives from area presses such as Press 53 and Spring Garden Press; from literary magazines such as The Greensboro Review and The Sewanee Review; and from writers’ organizations such as the N.C. Writers’ Network, the UNCG Center for Creative Writing in the Arts and the Writers’ Group of the Triad.
The festival is supported by the N.C. Arts Council. Additional sponsors include the Center for Creative Writing in the Arts, the MFA Writing Program, The Greensboro Review and Spring Garden Press.
