GREENSBORO, NC – The Department of Dance will present its seventh annual Alumni Homecoming Concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, in the UNCG Dance Theater.
The theater is at the intersection of Walker Avenue and Kenilworth Street with parking available in the Walker Avenue deck. Campus maps are available at www.uncg.edu/online_map/.
Tickets cost $12 for general admission, $9 for students and seniors, and $6 for UNCG students. For more information or tickets, call the UNCG Box Office at (336) 334-4849.
The concert is part of the university’s homecoming celebration, FallFest. This year, six alumni will be returning to show their recent work:
• Don Atwood (MFA, 2001) is currently the editor of World Dance Reviews online. He lives and works in Boulder, Colo.
• Katie Kyle Baker (BFA, 2000) lives in the Triangle and has performed and shown her choreography regionally since graduation.
• Susan Leslie Grubb Mann (MFA, 1987) is an associate professor of dance at Towson University in Maryland.
• Julie Mulvihill (MA, 2005) teaches part-time in the UNCG Department of Dance while enrolled in the doctoral program at Texas Woman’s University studying dance theory and practice.
• Aimee Moynihan (BFA, 2005) and Lauren Trollinger (BFA, 2005) will perform a jointly choreographed duet. Moynihan teaches dance at Wake Forest Academy of Fine Arts and at American Dance Projekt, both in Raleigh. Trollinger also teaches at American Dance Projekt.
