GREENSBORO, N.C. — “Writing to Save Lives,” a panel discussion and lecture about ways the peer review process can enhance writing in the health sciences, will be held Monday, April 6, in the Maple Room, Elliott University Center.
Sponsored by the TRIAD Project and Brothers Leading Healthy Lives Project, the event is free and open to the public.
The panel discussion, “Lessons for and from the Peer Review Process,” will begin at 9 a.m. Social scientist Henrie Treadwell, PhD, will deliver the keynote address, “Manuscript Development for Academic Publishing in the Health Sciences,” at 11 a.m.
Panelists include:
• Kenneth McLeroy, PhD, professor of social and behavioral health and editorial board member of the American Journal of Public Health (AJPH)
• Treadwell, senior social scientist and editorial board member of AJPH and the International Journal of Men’s Health
• Elizabeth Tornquist, PhD, professor of nursing and author of “From Proposal to Publication: An Informal Guide to Writing about Nursing Research.”
