UPDATE: The forum location has been changed to Cone Ballroom, EUC. (updated 11 a.m. April 15)
GREENSBORO, N.C. — The UNCG Board of Trustees will host an open forum about the future of the Quad from 3-4 p.m. Thursday, April 16, in Cone Ballroom of Elliott University Center. Students, faculty, staff and the public are invited to participate.
UNCG is considering options to expand and update its student housing. The forum is designed to gather input and feedback on options for the Quad (Bailey, Coit, Cotten, Gray, Hinshaw, Jamison and Shaw residence halls). The university is seeking views on how best to balance sustainability, the need for additional student housing and the desire to conserve scarce campus open space.
Thursday’s forum will be moderated by Vice Provost Alan Boyette. Those who wish to speak should arrive early to sign up. Each speaker will be allowed a maximum of three minutes and can not cede time to another speaker.
Comments can also be submitted via the “Send a Message to the Chancellor” link on the chancellor’s web page.
