- The Greensboro News & Record ran a story on the UNCG ending its laptop computer ownership requirement that all entering students own a laptop for use in UNCG courses. The Student Laptop Initiative began in fall semester 2006, and the was change was announced on Jan. 13, 2009. ( 2-4-09)
- With Blue & Gold Day just around the corner, the Greensboro News & Record ran an editorial on UNCG's game with Davidson College on Feb. 5. (2-4-09)
- The Greensboro News & Record ran an op-ed piece by Dr. Micheline Chalhoub-Deville, education professor and interim associate provost for undergraduate education, discussing the importance of educating our immigrant populations and promoting the School of Education's Unity in Diversity conference this Saturday.
