UNCG Hosts Memory Loss Conference July 31

GREENSBORO, N.C. An international group of Alzheimer’s researchers will present a one-day conference for the Triad – Living Well with Memory Loss: Finding the Balance – 8 a.m.-4:15 p.m. Friday, July 31, at UNCG.

The conference, held at the Weatherspoon Art Museum, will cover ways recreational therapists, nurses, rehab professionals, long-term care administrators and advocates can help older adults with memory loss maintain an active lifestyle. The conference is sponsored by the following UNCG units: the Center for Women’s Health and Wellness; the Department of Recreation, Tourism, and Hospitality Management; the Institute for Community and Economic Engagement; and the Gerontology Research Network.

Registration costs $55 before July 3 and $75 July 4 or later. Registration for students, caregivers and ARROW trainees costs $30. CEUs will be available, pending approval, for nurses, nursing home administrators and recreational therapists for a $10 fee.
