  • Members of UNCG's Department of Anthropology assisted the Guilford County Sheriff's Department collect skeletal remains found in Guilford County Nov. 17, WFMY reported. (11-18-09)
  • Research by Dr. Christopher Rhum, a professor in the Bryan School, linking health and economic conditions was mentioned in an article published by the Free Lance Star of Fredericksburg, Va. (11-15-09)
  • The Conference on African American Culture and Experience, sponsored by the UNCG African American Studies program, was featured in an article in the Carolina Peacemaker. (11-11-09)
  • Dr. Andrew Brod, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research in the Bryan School of Business and Economics, was quoted in a WXII story about the measures merchants were taking to promote their holiday sales. (11-9-09)
  • The Associated Press wrote about the Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership and Learning (WELL) conference co-sponsored by the Bryan School of Business and Ecoomics, resulting in coverage in Newsday and on WUNC (11-7-09.
  • Keith McCrary, associate director of UNCG’s student health services, spoke to the News & Record for a story about people who fear getting a seasonal flu shot. He explained that this is a new experience for many college students. “They’ve never seen this kind of a mass vaccination before,” he said. “So they’re a bit skeptical.” (11-6-09)
  • The News & Record highlighted the African American Studies Program's fall Conference on African American Culture and Experience in an article exploring the 100th anniversary of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
