Campus Emergency Communications to be Tested on Sept. 23

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University will conduct its annual campus-wide test of emergency communications on Wednesday, Sept. 23. at 10:45 AM. This test should last no more than a half hour.

UNCG will be testing the following notification methods: campus-wide email, SMS text messaging, the UNCG home page, blue light phone/outdoor PA system, classroom intercom system, AM radio station 1640, web streaming, the UNCG Emergency and Adverse Weather Line (334-4400) and the Emergency Information web-site.

Following the test, you will be asked to complete an anonymous survey regarding the test's effectiveness in notification and communication. The survey can be accessed at https://web.uncg.edu/pages/2009/emergency/survey.asp .
