- YES! Weekly reported on “Moon Rock,” the thesis film by third-year MFA student Debra Sea. The film was screened May 5 along with short thesis films by three other MFA students in the Department of Media Studies. (5-5-11)
- Baby it's her...again. Beth Leavel, who earned her MFA in acting and directing at UNCG in 1980, has been been nominated for a second Tony Award for her performance in "Baby It's You!" Leavel won a Tony in 2006 for her performance in "The Drowsy Chaperone." Read more in the News and Record. (5-4-11)
- The Winston-Salem Journal covered the graduation of six students from Beyond Academics at UNCG, a four-year certification for young adults with developmental disabilities. The students are the first graduates of the program, which has grown to 30 students. The graduates received certificates in integrative community studies through UNCG’s Office of Undergraduate Studies. (5-3-11)
