Graduation Procedures

Graduate students are required to submit the following three items to the Graduate School in the Mossman Building: Application for Graduation, Plan of Study Form, and the Graduation Fee. (Please be aware of deadlines, which usually are required within the first two weeks of the graduating semester.)

Application for Graduation for Graduate Students Form

This form can be picked up in the Graduate School office, filled out online, or printed off from the following website: http://grs.uncg.edu/current/graduation-application/

Plan of Study Form

Both the WGS Program and the Graduate School require a Plan of Study Form be submitted. Once the Graduate Director approves the Plan of Study with a signature, you must submit the original to the Graduate School, submit one copy to the WGS Graduate Director, and submit a second copy to the WGS Office.

Graduation Fee

  • $55 for master’s and Specialist in Education
  • $70 for combined M.S./Ed.S.
  • $60 for doctorate

Please be aware you need to be enrolled in the semester in which you graduate.

The fee will be added to your student account. Payment should be made to the Cashiers and Student Accounts Office, UNC at Greensboro, PO Box 26170, Greensboro, NC 27402-6170.
