Center for American Progress
"The Center for American Progress is a think tank dedicated to improving the lives of Americans through ideas and action. We combine bold policy ideas with a modern communications platform to help shape the national debate, expose the hollowness of conservative governing philosophy, and challenge the media to cover the issues that truly matter. Our work builds upon progressive ideals put forth by such leaders as Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, JFK, and Martin Luther King. We draw from the great social movements of the 20th century—from labor rights and worker safety, to civil rights and women's suffrage. We translate those values into new ideas and action firmly rooted in the economic and political realities of the 21st century."

Center for Women and Information Technology
"Internet Gender Gap Closing," a March 2000 headline proclaims. While the increase in female Internet users is certainly good news, the headline masks some troubling aspects of women's involvement with information technology (IT). Women are still seriously under-represented as developers of IT, and they are often not well served as IT users. The Center for Women and Information Technology, established at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) in July, 1998, seeks to address and rectify the above-mentioned problems and to enhance our understanding of the relationship between gender and IT.

Guerilla Girls on Tour
Guerrilla Girls On Tour is an internationally acclaimed anonymous theatre collective founded by three former members of Guerrilla Girls. GGOT creates original plays, street actions, visual work and residency programs that dramatize women’s history and advocate on behalf of women and artists of color in the performing arts. In order to put the focus of their work on the issues they address, each member works under the name of a dead woman artist and performs wearing a gorilla mask.
