Web3 Project Team
The Web3 Project Team is a subgroup of the UNCG Web Oversight Committee (WOC), and serves as a technical advisory group to the WOC as well as an implementation and training arm for WOC-related University web-based initiatives.
While the initial charge of the Project Team was to lead the institutional initiative which resulted in the current web site for UNCG, Project Team members have been involved with a number of UNCG web-based initiatives and policies, including:
- Unit Web Site Requirements
- Accessibility Initiative
- University-wide templating systems
- Training and education

Web3: The Name
The name “Web3” derives from the phases of campus web development. There have now been two major overhauls of the UNCG home page since the site was first launched in 1995, with the last spearheaded by the Web3 team.
