UNCG Junior Wins Eastern Music Festival Concerto Competition

On July 31, UNCG clarinetist Jason Spencer performed as a soloist with the Eastern Music Festival student orchestra as one of the concerto winners. A junior performance major, Jason played the Manevich clarinet concerto from memory, offering the audience his exciting gypsy-flavored clarinet stylings. From Chapel Hill, NC, Jason just completed his second year at EMF, and has previously attended Brevard and Tanglewood.
