Vicki McCready, a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), specializes in clinical education, interpersonal communication, and administration.
She is a founder and past president of the North Carolina Association of Supervisors in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, and past president of the national Council of Supervisors in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. She currently serves as one of North Carolina's Legislative Councilors to ASHA.
At UNCG in the Department of CSD, Vicki serves as Director of the Speech and Hearing Center and as a clinical educator. In addition, she serves as a faculty advisor for students' research projects and is beginning a four-year federal training grant with Dr. Jacqueline Cimorelli in the area of literacy impairments in juvenile delinquents. In the fall of 2002, Vicki was promoted to Professor in the Academic Professional Track in the School of HHP.
