From Virginia Crosby Elkins' Reminiscences (page 23): ......."Aunt Clara and Uncle James were two of our favorite people too. Aunt Clara unlike most of her sisters, was ablue-eyed blond. (Many used to say that Bud looked like her, she ad the "Crosby" eyes, which he definitely has as does my son Lloyd and his daughter, Karis). Clara was the sweetest, kindest lady, with a wonderful smile and twinkle in her eye. Her husband James was a gentleman's gentleman, and so full of fun. He had a sense of humor that wouldn't quit. We all loved him dearly. I always thought that Bob Danford was like his grandfather James in many ways. And Bob's hands were exact duplicates of my daddy George's."
