The Infant Development Center focuses on the development of hand use in infants. Infants explore much of their world with their hands. By studying how infants use their hands, we learn new things about development.

We are especially interested in:
  • Hand preference
  • Tool use and construction
  • Coordination between hands

The lab is part of the Department of Psychology at UNCG. We have been featured in numerous professional journals and popular magazines as well as national and international conferences. We are supported by the National Science Foundation.

If you are a parent interested in participating in a study with your infant, please feel free to contact us by phone or email with any questions. We look forward to your visit!
