You are expected to stay for the entire 2 hours and 50 minutes, or until your lab is completed

Overview of GEO 311 Lab

In GEO 311 Lab you will review and apply theoretical concepts learned in lecture through exercises that involve problem solving and simulation.

Lab Manual: Exercises for Weather and Climate, 5^th Ed. (Greg Carbone; Prentice Hall) (Required)

Grading

GEO 311 Lab is worth one credit-hour, and you will receive a separate grade for GEO 311L.
Exercises: 100 % of your grade in GEO 311 Lab will be based on weekly exercises/labs. All assignments are due at the very beginning of the following week's lab meeting. If the assignment is not handed-in when it is asked for, regardless of the reason, it will not be accepted. If you are not present in lab when the exercise/lab is assigned, it will not be accepted. Your lab exercise with the lowest score will be dropped. Late assignments will not be accepted under any circumstances. Please don't even ask!!

Course Resources and Success in GEO 311 Lab

Classes will be conducted based on the expectation that you have completed the asssigned readings for lab prior to coming to class.
It is your responsibility to contact me well in advance of the assignment’s due-date if you have questions regarding the exercise. Having questions about an exercise is not an acceptable excuse for not handing in an assignment when it’s due.

Miscellaneous Information

Any student in lab who has a documented disability that prevents the fullest expression of abilities should contact me personally as soon as possible so that we can discuss class requirements and accommodations.
Final grades once posted will not be changed under any circumstances (with the exception of clerical error).
In all matters related to this course it is expected that you will conduct yourself in an honorable fashion and exhibit the highest level of integrity.
