Friday, 10/31/03 -- 3 pm

Your assignment for next week (Week 12: 11/3-11/7), is to study for your exam.  There will be no new assignment for next week.  The exam will cover lecture sets 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, and 20.  Make certain to review the corresponding material in your text, on the GEODE CDROM, and on the WW2010 website.

With regard to next Thursday's (11/06/03) exam, we will follow the same procedure as last time.

The exam will be available to you on the web.  You can take the exam during any one of six time
periods on Thursday, 9/25: from 10 am-noon; from 1 pm-3 pm; from 4 pm-6 pm; from 8-10 pm; from 10 pm-midnight;
and from 11 pm-1 am.  You must email me at least 24 hours before the exam and tell me which
time period you prefer.  I will email the web address of your exam to you approximately 10 minutes before the start of your exam period.  Please type your responses to the exam questions in a microsoft word document and email the document back to me before your 2-hour time period expires.

The exam will be comprised of 50-75 multiple choice and T/F questions.

Please type the number of the question in front of your answer as I have done in below example.  Do not skip spaces.

1)A
2)B
3)C
4)False
etc..

The exam will be a closed notes, closed book exam.  If the above-mentioned time periods, or date, is problematic for you, please email me ASAP!  Here is the study outline for the exam: http://www.uncg.edu/~gjlennar/103distrvwexm2.htm.

Sunday, 10/26/03 -- 11 am

I have posted your assignment for Week 11 on the "Assignments" web site.  Also, don't forget, we have our second on-line exam next week!  More information about it will be sent over the next few days.

Friday, 10/10/03 -- 10 pm

The notes for Week 9 are now available; and I have posted the homework assignment for Week 9 as well on the "Assignments" web page.  I will be out of town until late Tuesday, in case you are looking for me.  I will check my email on Wednesday, when we return from Fall Break.

Friday, 10/03/03 -- 5 pm

The notes for Week 8 [(10) Air Masses, Fronts, Midlatitude Cyclones, Tornadoes, and Hurricanes] are now available.  Remember, we are still a week behind on topics.  Please make certain to review the ww2010 material that corresponds to the lecture notes.

Monday, 9/29/03 -- 11 am

If you look at the answer key for exam one, you will note that #68 has two "C's" as options.  Since this might have created some confusion, I will give everyone credit for #68 -- no matter which answer you selected.  Also, on #9, I incorrectly marked the answer key that I posted on the web for you.  The correct answer is "b", false.  However, the answer key that I am using to score your tests is correctly marked.

Friday, 9/26/03 -- 11 am

The answer key for exam 1 is available on the "Assignment's" web page.  Please take a look at it.  All the questions were directly from your notes, and the material was emphasized in the homework.

Also, the notes for next week -- Week 7 -- are available from the usual place.  Remember, we are a week behind on the material.  Next week you are responsible for Lecture Set 9 -- "Air Pressure & Wind" -- Chp. 17.

I will Post the homework assignment for next week over the weekend.

Wednesday, 9/24/03 -- 3 pm

For tomorrow's exam, I will send you email 15 minutes before your scheduled exam time.  The email will contain the web address of the exam.  If (for some reason)  you do not receive an email message from me before the start of your scheduled exam, please call me at 336.334.3913.

Please type your responses to the exam questions in a microsoft word document and email the document back to me before your 2-hour time period expires.

The exam will be comprised of 50-75 multiple choice and T/F questions.

Please type the number of the question in front of your answer as I have done in below example.  Do not skip spaces.

1)A
2)B
3)C
4)False
etc..

If any of the above is unclear, please email me.
