v  With the help of Departmental Instructors and Professors, I developed a Survey that helped determine factors affecting performance and attendance in Spanish classes Fall 1888

v  Special committee appointed with Professor Jim Atkinson as Chair to look into the feasibility and form that a twenty-four hour major in French and Spanish should take .  Final report February 14, 1988 (2 meetings)

v  Special committee appointed with Professor Jim Atkinson as Chair and Professor Kathleen Koestler Mather to consider the accumulation of time with overloads for the purpose of earning a leave of absence for professional activities.  Final report on October of 1987 (2 meetings).

v  Academic Computer Center Liaison Committee   (1 meeting on February 3, 1987)

v  Special committee appointed to consider the feasibility of combining the Curriculum Committee and Advisory Council into one body.  This was done. (2 meetings) 1987

v  Elections Committee: With the help of committee members, I was able to develop an all-university-computerized-voting system for University Elections.  This relieved the committee from several days and several hours per day of tedious work.  With the new system it now takes about two to three hours of work to count the votes for university elections1986-1988

COMMUNITY SERVICE

 

v  Interpreter for Alamance and Guilford County Courts

v  Interpreter for Greensboro Police Department

v  Translated documents, such as birth certificates, letters, transcripts of grades, etc. from Spanish to English on many occasions for businesses and individuals in the community
