“Pandora and the Good Eris in Hesiod” (in GRBS 47.1: 5-29)

     - The conscious placement of the Pandora myth near the beginning of the Opera narrative, and in close proximity to the description of the two types of Erides which opens the text, as well as the language used to introduce both Pandora and the Good Eris, fashions for the audience a clear connection between these two female creatures.  Three strong intratextual parallels force an association that renders Pandora and the Good Eris as equivalent beings.
