Louise Raleigh is a nationally certified and state licensed speech-language pathologist.  She is a clinical educator and campus coordinator of the North Carolina Consortium for Distance Education in Communication Sciences and Disorders.  The Consortium is the first of its kind in the state which offers a distance masters degree in speech-language pathology via inter-institutional collaboration among five universities.  Participating institutions are Appalachian State University, North Carolina Central University, UNC-Chapel Hill, UNC-Greensboro, and Western Carolina University.  Ms. Raleigh has speech-language therapy to all ages from infants through senior adults in settings that include public and charter schools, day care centers ,and community agencies.  She has worked for 15 years with special populations as part of an interdisciplinary team of  professionals.  Ms.Raleigh teaches as part of a team of clinical educators and provides clinical supervision to graduate students in the distance and on campus programs in speech-language pathology.  She is a member of several professional organizations and is currently president-elect of the North Carolina Association of Supervisors in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
