Graduate English Conference at the University of Virginia, 2002-3. Asked to participate as a panel member and to deliver a critical papers on modern poetics at annual graduate conference: “Is There a Text in This Text?: The Politics of Pleasure in the Poetry of Michael Palmer”  (2002).
Medieval Manuscripts Division, Green Special Collections at Stanford University, 2000. Chosen to transcribe and date new acquisitions, including a 12th Century French psalter and similar materials.
Manuscripts Division of the New British Library at Saint Pancras. Awarded a Readership in Paleographical Studies, 1998-9.

Sacred Heart Preparatory, Atherton, California. 1/2004 – 6/2006. Instructor of English Literature:
— American Literature and American Literature Honors Program, grade 10. U.S. Literature from Puritan period through contemporary fiction and poetry. Painting from Romantic to Contemporary. Romanticism, Modernism, Harlem Renaissance, Post-Modernism and Chicano Literature. Have performed in-class evaluations of fellow instructors (pedagogical study), and will be helping to revise and update sophomore curriculum.
— Creating Literature: Theory and Practice of Fiction, Drama, and Poetry, grade 12. Designed curriculum for and taught this senior seminar during the last fall semester. Poetry and poetics (metrics, versification, generative writing), forms and modes, theory of the novel and of drama, visual art and its relationship to writing. Some texts include: The Making of a Poem (Boland/Strand), International Anthology of Fiction (Halpern), Rilke’s Letters, Shepard’s Buried Child, Parks’ ,Topdog/Underdog, and Fante’s Ask the Dust. This course was also workshop-based.

Sacred Heart Summer Drama Conservatory. Summer 2003. Conservatory Director. Independently designed a curriculum, researched progressive educational materials, and served as the sole instructor of this program for children, ages 10 through 13. Program promotion.
Academic Studies Associates (ASA), Stanford University. Summers 1998-2000. Assistant to the Director of Curriculum. Evaluated program instructors, taught as a substitute in the areas of literature and creative writing. Served as a parental liaison and coordinated staff in areas of disciplinary procedure and program logistics. Coordinated transportation. Maintained program databases and assisted in clerical work.
