Computing Consultant IV. UNCG Enrollment Services.  Banner Trainer & Consultant.  March 1999-Present.  Campus Pipeline Project Manager Feb 2000-Present. Train UNCG staff, faculty and students on usage of Banner Student Information System.  Teach Classes on Banner Forms, Reporting with Microsoft Access.  Assist with implementation of Banner Imaging. Consult with UNCG offices on applicabilty and potential usage of Banner system in support of office tasks.  Troubleshoot faculty and staff problems with Banner, UNCGenie, Microsoft Access and UNCG network computing environment.   Manage implementation and provide second level support for Campus Pipeline intranet portal.  Train Faculty, Staff and Student users on Campus Pipeline.
 

Applications Programmer II. UNCG Management Information Systems Student Information Systems Group December 1995-February 1999.  Banner System Responsibilites: Oracle Forms 4.5 Macintosh Desktop platform installation, troubleshooting and support. Analysis for bio-demo data conversion and cleanup. Data entry standards definition.
Open VMS Student System Responsabilites: Support for Financial Aid external data exchange programs (Whizkid & EDE), Electronic Funds Transfer system design, troubleshooting and support. General troubleshooting and support for Financial Aid, Registrar, Admissions and various other campus offices, including PC hardware and software installation. Primary responsibility includes Campus Security, Eliott Center, Orientation, Space Management. Secondary responsibility includes Financial Aid, Graduate School, Information Services, Residence Life, Student Records and Undergraduate Admissions.
 

Programmer/Analyst. UNCG Technical Services 1993-November 1995. Computer support for Admissions, Financial Aid, & Registrar's Offices as well as other University Offices. Database construction, management and reporting. Data analysis on local (Macintosh) and mainframe (VMS-POISE) systems; application analysis and design for mainframe systems; application analysis, design and programming for local systems. Implementation and integration of external data exchange software packages. Telephone and in person support/training for users. Hardware, software and network installation and troubleshooting. Required thorough knowledge of office computer systems, their integration into office work flow and unit/process relationship to other University and external systems. Development/modification of office procedures using computer resources to facilitate student service and personalization of correspondence. Familiarity and thorough working knowledge of UNCG network environment as well as common Macintosh applications and some DOS/Windows applications.

Scheduling Officer. UNCG Registrar's Office. October 1992 to January 1993. Responsible for coordination of registration activity with other campus offices, registration assistant training, development of registration materials and improvements, reporting of registration statistics, supervision of records disposition and consortium processing.

Instructor. Duke University Talent Identification Program, Summer 1993. Taught 3 week intensive class in International Relations to gifted Jr. High & High School students. Previously Teaching Assistant & Resident Advisor Summers 1989, 1990, & 1992.

Tour Guide. Greensboro Historical Museum. November 1992 to January 1997. Welcome visitors, interpret late 18th/early 19th century houses/life and answer visitor questions.

Communications Coordinator. Greensboro Arts Council City Stage Festival 1985, 1988-2000. Information relay and integration for 3 walkie-talkie networks, & telephones at operations center for downtown festival.

Inventory Control Clerk. Southern Office Furniture. August 1992 to October 1992. Responsible for data entry of inventory information, as well as damaged goods and freight claim resolution.

Intern. Mint Museum of Art, Charlotte. Fall 1991. Development and Education Departments. Assisted with research, grant proposals, membership programs, corporate sponsor development, computer operations and education programming.

Circulation Manager (1990-1992) Business Manager (1991) The Davidsonian (circ. 3000+) Oversaw staff and coordinated weekly delivery and mailing for student newspaper. Managed $30,000 budget, accounts payable/receivable and monthly payroll.

Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, 1989-1992. Served as President, Vice-President, Alumni Secretary, House Manager, Editor of Wildcat Phi alumni magazine. Duties included developing Project 2001 alumni fundraising campaign, initiating chapter Adopt-A-Highway program, and supervising house cleanup/repair.

Davidson College Theatre, Spring 1991. Stage Run Crew Chair. Scheduled, trained, and supervised crew for two week production of Merchant of Venice.
