The Self-Reflection and Insight Scale

Grant, Franklin, and Langford (2002) presented a model of dispositional self-awareness based on the distinction between self-reflection and insight. This 20-item scale has 12 items measuring self-reflection ("the inspection and evaluation of one's thoughts, feelings and behavior") and 8 items measuring insight ("the clarity of understanding of one's thoughts, feelings, and behavior"; Grant et al., 2002, p. 821).
