Congratulations! You have successfully
managed to pass one of the hurdles toward your goal of studying abroad (the
application process) and have been nominated to study abroad on one of UNCG's exchange programs. Now you can begin the process
of preparing yourself for your experience. We cannot tell you every detail
about your overseas experience, but we can give you the tools to prepare
yourself more fully for this exciting adventure. To the left of this screen, you will find
essential links to start the process of orientation. Please read the following information:
* Memo to Parents
* Dealing with culture shock
* Safety tips for students from the U.S. Department of State
Be sure to read through these materials before the orientation and remember
to share this information with your parents and encourage them to be
involved with your exchange. NB: Bring paper and pencil to
the orientation. Good luck in your preparation and know that we
will be working with you over the next few weeks to make the process of
going abroad as seamless as possible.
