Topic: Teaching sport sociology and sport history in contemporary times

Purpose: Body knowledge and repetition is my dissertation project. In this project I explored how undergraduate kinesiology students conceived physical ability in visual stories they created in one of two core kinesiology courses.

 

Topic: Teaching sport history and philosophy in contemporary times

Purpose: To develop a series of digital learning modules for teaching the history and philosophy of sport. These modules include self-assessments and in the future will include audio narration and video segments.

 

Application: Spartan Cycles Tracking program

Purpose: Allows university employees to track the number of miles they ride each day. This web-based software program was developed as part of a university workplace wellness initiative that encourages physical activity.

Application: Spartan Points program

Purpose: Allows university employees to log physical activity, health eating, smoking cessation and stress management activities in order to complete for incentives.
