As advances in information technology have made it easier to collect, store, process, and generate data at a staggering rate, security concerns over what is collected and potential security breaches and personal violations have also increased substantially. Information security analysts plan and carry out security measures to protect an organization’s computer networks and systems. Their responsibilities are continually expanding as the number of cyber attacks increases.
