The Master of Education in Teacher Education, Instructional Technology Concentration degree is for people who want to work as an instructional designer and training specialist in a wide array of environments including K-12, higher education, non-profit, government, corporate, and military settings. Students will gain learning experiences and applied skills in the design, production, application, and evaluation of a broad range of media and technology for innovative teaching, instruction, training, and development.

The Student Experience

  • Students will work closely with their advisor to customize their learning experience to particular work settings in which they wish to be placed.
  • Courses include Human Diversity, Teaching, and Learning, Emerging Technological Trends in Information Access, Instructional Design, and Assistive Technology for Inclusive Education.

After Graduation

Example career paths include instructional designer, trainer, eLearning specialist, curriculum developer, instructional technology consultant, and instructional technologist.
