Responsibilities

As the Student and Program Liaison, Paige defines her role simply: “I work for the students.” She guides each student through the program, designs an evolving plan of study, and responds to questions with comprehensive answers and options because a one-sentence response rarely fulfills a need and it leaves a student feeling unheard or passed off to someone else. To better serve students and the University, Paige successfully advocated change to the degree’s design, simplifying how courses get applied toward degree completion and gaining tolerance to schedule its 7-week courses.

Her alter ego submits EPAF documentation every 7 weeks to ensure the department’s part-time instructors receive timely payment. This role coupled with her prior role of setting up Canvas courses for instructors allows Paige to assist with the onboarding of new instructors.

Paige sees her greatest strengths to be her attention to detail and (because no one is perfect) the decency to take accountability if she makes a mistake, not bury or deflect it.

Education

B.A. Business Administration (marketing), California State University, Fullerton

Get to Know Us

Paige began playing tennis at the age of 50 with a group of men and women in their 70s and 80s, embracing the idea that it’s never too late to learn from elders. Along with tennis these days, she enjoys playing the role of personal shopper; attending a weekly Bible study; sharing leisurely chats on the porch with her neighbors, and taking her elderly parents on trips in a travel van.
