About JOyce

Joyce Clap, PhD (she/they) is an Assessment Specialist with the University Teaching and Learning Commons. Previously, Joyce was an advisor and program coordinator with the Bachelor of Liberal and Interdisciplinary Studies program and a Principle Lecturer in the college of Arts and Sciences.
Joyce’s primary academic interests are in residential distribution, the social construction of space, and in perceptions of safety and belonging vis a vis location. With an extensive background in student success, Joyce’s work in the UTLC focuses on projects to promote faculty success (which will improve student success) including evaluation of teaching, learning analytics, and faculty training.
