Research
Photosystem II
Dr. Haddy has carried out research on the chemistry of photosynthesis, particularly the production of molecular oxygen by photosystem II, using electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopic and other physical techniques to understand biochemical function.
Science History
Dr. Haddy has on-going research projects on the history of chemistry in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. One area involves women who were a part of her home department when it was part of the Woman’s College of UNC. Another project involves the study of early synthetic drugs that were commonly used in medicines during the early years of drug regulation.
