Biography
Chantell LaPan is an Assistant Professor of Tourism & Hospitality in the Department of Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality and Tourism. She received a PhD in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management as well as a Master of International Studies Degree from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Her research focuses on rural tourism development, with a particular interest in agritourism, microentrepreneurship, and issues of social justice, including gender. She teaches courses related to sustainable tourism development, sustainable food and beverage, and diversity and equity.
