Research
Fascinated by hidden, overlooked and unconsidered histories, Hassan Pitts’ creative research interests lie in exploring stories and experiences. He uses technology hoping to prompt people to re-examine, even re-interpret our communal perceptions of reality by creating room for conversation. These opportunities, driven by intentionally intersecting diverse perspectives commingle in a manner that both pays respect to the “individual” and embraces the “collective.”
Hassan Pitts regularly creates work under the moniker of s/n, an electronic art group, which works extensively with video, sound, animation, photography and locative media. Their exhibitions often push both experimental and conceptual ideas around media.
