Assessment practices used to examine the language and literacy of preschool, school-age, and adolescent children; Describing the use of African-American English and regional dialects in children and youth; Describing systemic factors that recruitment and retention of SLP faculty, students, and practitioners.

Dr. Horton teaches courses on school-age language disorders course, language-learning disabilities, culture and language in SLP.
