Vung graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Community and Justice Studies from Guilford College, Greensboro, North Carolina. Prior to working with Strong Minds, Strong Communities, Vung served as a Program Officer with Church World Service, acted as an Intensive Case Manager with the Preferred Communities program at the North Carolina African Services Coalition, and was a Refugee Health Coordinator with the Center for New North Carolinians at UNCG. Vung has tremendous experience working with the refugees and the vulnerable populations. She has a great passion for working with people, especially with the immigrant and refugee communities.
