UNC Greensboro is one of the 17 campuses of The University of North Carolina, the birthplace of public higher education in America. The UNC System is administered by President Peters Hans and overseen by the UNC Board of Governors. UNCG is headed by Chancellor Franklin D. Gilliam, Jr., and the UNCG Board of Trustees.
Chancellor Franklin D. Gilliam, Jr., is the 11th chancellor of UNCG. During his tenure, UNCG has grown its endowment, research enterprise, and infrastructure; and increased fundraising.
Dr. Debbie Storrs is provost and executive vice chancellor of UNCG. She joined UNCG in June of 2021, after having served in a number of higher education leadership roles across the country.
The UNCG Board of Trustees is composed of 13 members, including the student body president.
