All are invited to the UNCG Alumni Awards celebration on October 4, which will celebrate nine outstanding individuals for their ongoing service to UNCG.
What’s new this year? Enjoy Spartan Street Fest along College Ave. The bonfire has a new location this year as well. The big days will be next Friday and Saturday, Oct. 4-5, and everyone is welcome!
UNCG has moved the deadline to submit photos taken of campus life through October 5 to accommodate the weather.
New York Times’s Critic’s Pick SW!NG OUT, led by acclaimed choreographer Caleb Teicher, will deliver toe-tapping tunes to UNCG. This special celebration of swing dance, with live music by the Eyal Vilner Big Band, is part of the University Concert and Lecture Series.
Thanks to these most recent announcements, UNCG faculty will expand knowledge in areas of sleep’s impact on weight and consequential learning in middle school STEM.

Dr. Zithobile Nxumalo ’11 saw the value of community in her research at UNCG, followed by the opportunities afforded to her as a recent graduate. She’s now paying it forward as the new president of Guilford Education Alliance, creating new opportunities for children and educators in public schools.
