Two UNCG Students Win Hackathon Award

Computer science students Sakshi Patel and Lucas Walton took home the Technical Innovation Award in CodeLinc 2025 Hackathon. They were challenged to use AI-driven solutions to engagement and decision-making.

The Nexus of Cybersecurity and AI  

Nir Kshetri, Ph.D., professor in UNCG’s Bryan School of Business and Economics, specializes in how emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, Web3 and the metaverse transform global economies, organizations, and societies. Ksherti received a Fulbright award to conduct research in Nepal starting in January 2026. He plans to focus his research on the impact of AI on higher education in developing countries.

UNCG Updates ITS Policies

The policy revisions which have been approved and taken effect as of Aug. 18 were to add statements to the Acceptable Use Policy and Data Integrity Policy to support and safeguard the use of artificial intelligence-enabled tools and services with University data.
