For more than a decade, Dr. Marianne LeGreco, in the Department of Communication Studies, has been one of the driving forces behind local food security initiatives, including urban garden projects, fresh food mobile markets, entrepreneurship programs, and culinary workshops. With UNCG support, the SNAP benefits “Green for Greens” program helped the local community and farmers markets weather the pandemic.

Shared ground: Urban farming initiative promotes food access

CSD students bring the summer fun to new camp for children with stutters

Fun in the sun and in the water brought together members of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and local children who need a little support finding their voice. Six graduate clinicians worked with the kids during this inaugural camp that supports children who struggle with stuttering.
