Biography

Aaron Sparks is a director, actor, and educator working throughout the United States. New York credits include David Rabe’s The Orphan starring Eric Tucker (The Tank), Disorder (United Solo Festival/Gene Frankel Theatre), and David Rudkin’s translation of Jean Genet’s Deathwatch (New York International Fringe Festival). Regional directing credits include TRAYF (New Jewish Theatre) My Name is Asher Lev (New Jewish Theatre), Every Brilliant Thing (Heartland Theatre), and the staged reading of Blood Clots (Coconut Grove Playhouse). Acting credits include A Soldier’s Play (NEC – 2018 AUDELCO Award, Best Revival); Tribes (Heartland Theatre); Eve and Her Neighbors, Good, Good Trouble…, Exodus (FringeNYC); Fiddler on the Roof, Oliver! (The MUNY), and The KidsWrite Festival (Burning Coal Theatre). BFA – NYU Tisch. MFA in Directing – Texas State University. Directing at Texas State includes The Harvest, Men on Boats, The Exonerated starring Eugene Lee, and In Arabia, We’d All be Kings.
