Adam Patterson is a doctoral candidate in philosophy at Syracuse University. Prior to that, he earned M.A.’s in philosophy at Birkbeck College and the University of Kentucky, respectively. Mr. Patterson has taught at the university level for over a decade, and has taught classes on topics many topics, including: normative ethics, social and political philosophy, metaphysics and epistemology, logic, critical thinking, ethics and media professions, and the philosophy of science fiction. His main area of interest is in the philosophy of well-being, but he has also published in other areas such as meta-ethics, the philosophy of language, and the philosophy of death. He also maintains an active interest in metaphysics, the history of philosophy, the philosophy of religion, and value theory in general. Mr. Patterson is an active participant in the philosophical community, having also presented his research at the meetings for the North Carolina Philosophical Association and the American Philosophical Association, among others, and more recently at Oxford. Besides reading and writing about philosophy, he enjoys all manner of games, spending time with his family, and reading.
