Bachelor of Science in Management with a Concentration in Human Resource Management, 1990 

Biography

Amy Moore is the Executive Assistant to the Dean for the UNCG College of Visual and Performing Arts. After graduating from UNCG, she worked at Precision Fabrics Group for one of the Vice Presidents of Merchandising. She then began an almost ten-year career in nonprofit work as the Executive Director for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Western North Carolina and the Chapter Manager for Operation Smile North Carolina.  She joined the then School of Music Dean’s office in 2003 which is now the College of Visual and Performing Arts Dean’s Office. She has served on Staff Seante and was awarded the SOCON All Conference Staff Award in 2020-21. 

Amy enjoys volunteering in the community having served as President for the Greensboro Jaycees, President for the Greensboro Woman’s Club and a Girl Scout Leader/Volunteer for thirteen years as well as supporting in the arts including theatre and music organizations and in her children’s schools. She enjoys watching football, baking, and supporting her children’s activities. She is married and has three daughters., The oldest is pursuing a BFA Musical Theatre degree at UNCG. The middle daughter plays tenor saxophone in the marching band and the youngest plays clarinet.  They all take piano and tap and enjoy performing in theatre.  

Areas of Responsibility

  • Assists the Dean with scheduling and manages master calendars, committee and meeting support for unit-level committees, special projects and events, special reporting for the college and general support to the Dean.
  • Oversees Human Resource Management at the Dean’s level, which includes oversight of personnel actions for faculty and staff, assistance with position management, and process and administration in Faculty Success and E-performance, which includes annual review, reappointment, promotion and tenure and post-tenure review.
  • Oversees faculty and staff searches in Spartan Talent, including support to the Dean, search committee chairs, and administrative assistants in the schools. This includes training, review of postings, and hiring proposals and onboarding.
