Bio & Education

Barbara Strahl earned her doctorate at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2005.

She graduated with honors with her dissertation stemming from her applied research project called “Implementing the FORUM Program in Southern Nevada Prisons.” barbara is an experienced mediator and conflict resolver across a variety of social contexts, having logged over 25 years of experience in these areas. barbara is the author of various articles and book chapters, and she has made numerous presentations at professional conferences on conflict resolution, peace, and mediation.

She also serves as Secretary and Board member of the Nevada Mediation Group and Hidden Talent Foundation. barbara is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, and has taught peace and conflict studies at UNCG since 2008.
