Biography

Brad McMillan is Director of Outreach Programs and Marketing Coordinator in the UNCG School of Music, a position he has held since 2019. In this capacity, he coordinates the Summer Music Camp, Carolina Band Festival and Conductors Conference, and the Southeast Honors String Festival. These events offer on-campus educational and career development experiences to nearly 2,400 students and 100 music educators each year. He oversees marketing efforts for the School of Music including graphic design, social media, photography, web design, and publicity. 

In addition, Mr. McMillan assists with special projects including hosting the 2013 National Conference of the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) and European concert tours of both the UNCG Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra to the Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Germany, and Poland. Each October, he assists with the planning, promotion, and execution of the School of Music Open House, a “day in the life” event for prospective students and their parents. 

Mr. McMillan studied at UNC Greensboro and Indiana University for degrees in Saxophone Performance and has performed with the wind ensembles and orchestras of UNC Greensboro and Indiana University, the Columbus (IN) Philharmonic, the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra, and local theatre companies across the Piedmont Triad.
