Biography

Originally from San Diego, California, Ms. Bergevin has over 28 years of experience as an arts administrator, working in finance, operations, and fundraising. She is the Executive Director of High Point Arts Council. She was the Executive Director of Reconsidered Goods, a creative reuse nonprofit. Previous positions include Director of Advancement and Grants at The Arts Council of Greater Greensboro; Deputy Director/Director of Advancement at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art (Pittsburgh): Assistant Director at The Mattress Factory, a contemporary art museum (Pittsburgh); Managing Director at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater (Pittsburgh), as well as leadership positions at Elsen Associates Inc., San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art, and the San Diego Art Center.

She is a Creative Greensboro commissioner for the City of Greensboro’s Cultural Arts Commission and on the teaching faculty for the Guilford Nonprofit Consortium, where she facilitates monthly Community Centric Fundraising meetings. Catena is the Chair of the Cultural Affairs Commission for the City of Greensboro.
