Claire Poindexter, MSW, is the Project Director for the Strong Minds, Strong Communities program. She earned her B.A in Sociology and Hispanic Linguistics (2017) and her Master’s in Social Work (2019) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is passionate about reducing systemic barriers that prevent access to behavioral health care, particularly for folks in the Latinx and LGBTQ+ communities and advocating for more equitable health care systems. Claire enjoys hiking and camping with her dog and partner, cheering on the Tar Heels, and baking lots of sweet treats.
